Acupuncture
Acupuncture Treatment utilizes specific points on the body to enhance energy flow and circulation in different locations of the body. The body maintains a delicate balance of energy in which health is optimal. Diseased states begin when the body’s energy becomes blocked. Energy, or qi, runs in pathways, called meridians, along the surface of the skin and deep to the body’s internal structures. Acupuncture points are used on the body’s surface to tap into the deeper energy system and help create a balanced free flow of energy.
Acupuncture has a variety of therapeutic effects on the body to which there is not a clear explanation according to western medicine. The proposed theory is that acupuncture has beneficial effects by aiding in regulation of the nervous system.
