Osteopathic Medicine
Osteopathic Medicine
Doctors of osteopathic medicine (DOs) practice a “whole person” approach. They understand that health is an outcome of organ system synergy. Organ systems are interconnected and their functions are dependent on each other. In addition, doctors of osteopathic medicine received specialized training in the musculoskeletal system. This sets them apart from other medical doctors and provides them a greater understanding of how the musculoskeletal system reflects and influences the condition of all other body systems. Therefore, DOs are highly trained to take care of all medical conditions. Their goal is to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses with the most advance and compassionate care.
