Dr. Sergio Chacin, MD Joins the Weston Medical Health Team
Weston Medical Health Center has added to our team of expert physicians with the addition of Dr. Sergio Chacin, MD. Dr. Chacin was born and raised in Venezuela. He received his medical degree from Universidad del Zulia in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Shortly after, he came to the United States to continue his medical training. He completed an Internal Medicine Internship in St. Louis, MO. at St. Mary’s Health Center. He then moved to New York City, where he finished his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Metropolitan Hospital, an affiliate of the New York Medical College, where he also served as a chief resident.
His experience includes serving as an assistant professor for Penn State Hershey Rehabilitation Hospital, where he treated patients with various disabling conditions, particularly stroke, multiple sclerosis, traumatic brain injuries, and resulting spasticity. He completed a AAPMR-recognized Fellowship in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine in Pennsylvania at Performance Spine and Sports Physicians group. Dr. Chacin is a board-certified physiatrist, speaks fluent Spanish and his main interests include neck, back and joints pain disorders, interventional pain management, sports medicine, and electro-diagnostic medicine.
